Hello In Stitches Family! We are so excited to have you here this week because we are CELEBRATING! Why, you ask? This week is our 10th anniversary! Can you believe it? We sure can’t! We have had to learn so much throughout our years in business and there is so much more to learn, but we wanted to take a second to thank YOU for making our business what it is! We wouldn’t be here without you and we hope you know how much we appreciate you!
July of 2011 seems so long ago! We were just starting out and finding that a commercial embroidery business is quite a bit different than the hobby it started out with!
When 2012 rolled around, we started to gather more and more clients, a lot of whom are still with us today. (We are just so thankful that you’ve stayed with us as we learned and grew!!) We also added screen printing to our services by partnering with another small business.
By 2013, we were feeling comfortable with what we were doing so we decided to add dye sublimation to our services.
There was a lot of construction that happened in 2014! We built our production room that is honestly now starting to feel a bit small but at the time, it was so nice to have so much room! We also added 3 more embroidery machines to the family! We really do think of our machines as family! They have names and everything. If you’d like to read more about them, go to this post.
By 2015, we had enough room to do screen printing in house, but we soon learned that it wasn’t as easy as we thought it would be! What a learning curve! But we did eventually get the hang of it.
Fashion film was added to our services in 2016. What’s fashion film? It’s a professional version of the heat press vinyl you can use at home.
Mike got a new toy in 2017, a laser engraver and boy has he loved making things with it!
In 2018, we took a step back and regrouped. We really looked at who our customers were and what they needed for their businesses. This is when the Screen Print Transfer program was born so that we could better serve YOU, our customers!
2019 brought about the need for a FIFTH embroidery machine! Boy, that was a crazy turning point for us! Our business was growing and we loved it!
In 2020, we added a weekly blog and email to our services for you for the same reason we do everything in our business. So we can better serve YOU our customer! (If you have anything you’d like us to write about, please let us know!)
And that brings us to this year. Our 10th anniversary. And for our 10th anniversary, we added a brand new website to the mix. Have you checked it out yet? It’s so pretty and most importantly functional. We had it built by a local website builder. And we just love it! It is still a work in progress so keep watching for more functions!
