Hello In Stitches family!
Have you ever gone down a rabbit hole on the internet? You know, where you start looking at one thing and then start to get curious about another thing? That’s where this all came from.
There is nothing better on a hot summer day than a cold drink of water. (Believe it or not, those warm temperatures are coming!) But, how do the water bottles keep everything so cold? I mean, there used to be water bottles that kept stuff cold for about 3.2 seconds, then you were drinking hot water out of the hose. If you know, you know, right?
But nowadays, water bottles keep everything cold for a long time. How? That’s where my rabbit hole internet research came in handy.
Today’s water bottles have a thing called vacuum insulation. Basically, there are two walls in your water bottle and between those two walls is nothing – a vacuum. This vacuum minimizes heat transfer because there are no molecules present to transfer that heat. (If you want to read more about the science behind vacuum insulation, check out this post.)
All of this to say that our tumblers and water bottles are built to keep the hot out and cold in – perfect for those summer days!
And right now, we have a sale on our on hand tumblers and water bottles. Check out the prices below but remember that this is one-side etching only.
So, if you’re in the market for a new water bottle or tumbler with vacuum insulation, we’re the ones to see. Just contact us for the colors we have on hand!
