Hello In Stitches Family!
We often help our customers with gear for fundraisers. We have found that sponsorships are a great way to raise funds or a particular cause or organization while also creating awareness about the sponsor’s brand or business.
Throughout the years, we’ve figured out the steps to take when planning a t-shirt fundraiser program with sponsorship:
- Identify the cause or organization that you want to raise funds for, and create a campaign around it.
- Reach out to potential sponsors who may be interested in sponsoring the t-shirts. These sponsors could be local businesses, corporations, or even individuals who are willing to contribute to the cause.
- Work with the sponsors to determine the design and content of the t-shirts. This could include the sponsor’s logo or brand message on the t-shirt. We can help with your design.
- Once the design is finalized, let us create an online store where people can purchase the t-shirts. Make sure to promote the fundraiser through social media and other channels to maximize the reach.
- As the t-shirts are sold, donate a portion of the proceeds to the cause or organization that you are supporting.
- Make sure to keep the sponsors updated on the progress of the fundraiser and share any metrics or results with them.
- After the fundraiser is complete, send a thank-you note to the sponsors and donors, letting them know how much their support helped in achieving the goal.
Now when it comes to the placement of the logo or brand message, we have a couple of suggestions. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, let’s look at this first so you can understand what I’m saying.
As you can see, the front of the shirt is a premium place to put a sponsor’s logo or branding information, whereas the sleeve is a unique placement that we’ve really seen some good designs come from.
WIth the back, let’s talk for a little bit about that.
You can have premium spots, which are the most expensive and the most visible. There are regular spots which show a logo but are smaller. And then there are text spots, which are just text.
When printing regular spots (or text spots), we recommend no more than 20 sponsors.
With premium spots, we recommend no more than 6 sponsors.
We can combine the premium and regular spots. In that case, we recommend no more than 2 premium spots and 6 regular spots.
Does this make sense?
Want to see the finished project?
See how we put the logo of the event on the front of the hoodie, but then the back was filled with regular sized sponsor spots. Also notice that there are 18 spots, like we said, less than 20 is recommended.
So, let us know the next time you want to do a fundraiser with some sponsors. We can definitely help you with that!
